Damascus, July 16 (QNA) – The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday that it had foiled an attempt to smuggle a large shipment of advanced weapons from Iraq and seized the shipment before it entered Syrian territory.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the operation led to the seizure of weapons, including long-range missiles, anti-tank guided missiles, and drones.
The Ministry affirmed that Syrian territory would not be allowed to serve as a route or launch point for weapons smuggling or any activities that threaten Syria’s security or that of neighboring countries. (QNA)
