The TTU ranked 801-1000 globally after garnering a 1001-1500 ranking in the 2024 category, marking a “clear” indication of the “continuous” development in the university’s institutional performance and its progress in achieving sustainable development goals.

In a statement Wednesday, TTU President Dr. Bassam Mahasneh said the university has made progress in a number of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), achieving “advanced” scores in the areas of quality education, use of clean energy, SDGs partnerships, and community contribution.

This milestone, he noted, culminates the university’s “unrelenting” efforts at various levels, which remains “committed” to academic excellence, as well as enhancing its societal impact, and achieving sustainable development goals in line with the Kingdom’s vision for comprehensive modernization.

For his part, Director of TTU Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Abdullah Awwad, noted this step reflects quality of the university’s policies and initiatives and pushes efforts to achieve further excellence in future rankings.

Awwad noted this global impact ranking assesses performance of universities per their commitment to achieving the United Nations SDGS, on accurate and objective indicators for education, research, community service, and environmental sustainability areas.
