Chuzhou (China), July 18 (QNA) – The Qatar men’s handball team will face Iran on Sunday in an important Group Stage match, part of the 19th Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship, taking place in Chuzhou, China, from July 15 to 27.
The tournament serves as a qualifier for the 26th IHF Men’s Junior (U21) World Championship in North Macedonia.
Qatar is aiming for another positive result and to continue its winning momentum after regaining confidence with an important 29–25 victory over Japan in its third match, following opening defeats to South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
Manager of Qatar’s youth and junior national handball teams Salem Mohammed Al Dosari told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the squad is fully prepared for the match against Iran and that his players understand the importance of this stage of the tournament.
The team seeks to secure its second victory after its setbacks against South Korea and the UAE, he added. (QNA)
