Northern Jordan Valley, Aug. 19 (Petra) — Civil defense divers
recovered the body of a 17-year-old boy who drowned in the King
Abdullah Canal in the Kraymeh area of the Northern Jordan Valley
district Wednesday.
Northern Jordan Valley District Commissioner Khaled Kasasbeh told the
Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the teen’s family had reported him
missing Tuesday night.
Following the recovery, the public prosecutor and security services
inspected the scene and launched an investigation into the incident,
Kasasbeh noted.
The body was referred to the Northern Region Forensic Medicine Center
to determine the cause of death.
