Amman, Aug. 6 (Petra) — Temperatures are expected to return to their
seasonal averages on Thursday following the departure of the hot air
mass, with stable summer conditions forecast to persist through
Sunday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

The department said Thursday will bring a slight decline in
temperatures, with typical summer weather prevailing across most
regions. Hot conditions will continue in the Badia, the Jordan
Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while moderate northwesterly winds
are expected to become active at times.

Little change is forecast on Friday, with seasonally warm conditions
continuing across most parts of the country. Low clouds are expected
to develop over northern and central areas, while hot weather
persists in the Badia and the low-lying regions, including the Jordan
Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds are
forecast to strengthen occasionally.

The prevailing weather pattern is expected to remain in place through
the weekend. Typical summer conditions are forecast on both Saturday
and Sunday across most regions, while hot weather continues in the
Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. Intermittent low
cloud cover is also expected over northern and central parts of the
country.

Thursday’s temperatures are forecast to reach 34 degrees Celsius in
East Amman and 32 C in West Amman. Highs are expected to reach 32 C
in the northern highlands and 31 C in the Sharah highlands, while the
plains are forecast to record 34 C.

The highest temperatures will remain concentrated in Jordan’s desert
and low-elevation regions, with forecasts pointing to 39 C in the
Badia, 38 C in the northern Jordan Valley, 39 C at the Dead Sea, and
40 C in both the southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
