Amman, Aug. 26 (Petra) — Relatively hot weather is forecast across
most regions through Friday before a slight drop in temperatures
brings milder summer conditions on Saturday, according to the Jordan
Meteorological Department.

Temperatures on Wednesday are expected to remain around their
seasonal averages for this time of year. Relatively hot conditions
will prevail across most parts of the country, while the Badia, the
Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba will experience very hot
weather. Moderate northwesterly winds are forecast to become active
at times.

The weather pattern will remain largely unchanged on Thursday and
Friday, with relatively hot conditions continuing across most regions
and very hot weather persisting in the Badia and low-lying areas.
Moderate northwesterly winds are expected to strengthen occasionally.

Temperatures are forecast to edge lower on Saturday, bringing mild
summer weather to most parts of the country. Hot conditions, however,
will continue in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and
Aqaba, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds that may become
active at times.

Wednesday’s temperatures are forecast to reach 35 degrees Celsius in
East Amman and 33 C in West Amman, with highs of 31 C in the northern
highlands, 32 C in the Sharah highlands and 34 C across the plains.

Higher readings are expected in the desert and low-lying areas,
reaching 41 C in the Badia, the northern Jordan Valley and at the
Dead Sea, and 42 C in the southern Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
