Amman, March 25 (Petra) – Southern Jordan is hit by thunderstorms on Wednesday with moderate to heavy rainfall and hail, the Jordan Meteorological Department said, citing radar images.
It reported on its official website downpours, particularly in Karakk, Tafileh, and Ma’an regions, as well as the southern Jordan Valley, where warnings were issued for flash floods and rising water levels in valleys and low-lying areas.
The department urged caution and to stay away from floodplains and water accumulations.
