Amman, July 17 (Petra) – President of the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU), Khaled Fanatseh, met with the Director of the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES), Sven Schwersensky, to discuss avenues of cooperation and coordination in support of the Federation’s strategic plan.
According to a statement issued by the Federation on Thursday, the meeting, held at the Foundation’s headquarters, focused on strengthening joint efforts, particularly in the areas of education and training for workers.
Fanatseh commended the Foundation’s role in supporting the Federation’s capacity-building programs, highlighting the development of the first training manual tailored specifically for the GFJTU with full support.
Schwersensky, for his part, welcomed the Federation’s visit, describing it as the first by a GFJTU president in several years, and reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to technical cooperation aimed at promoting transparency, social justice, and decent work for Jordanian workers.
