Transaction Value of Real Estate Sales Contracts till December
2025 Rises

Muscat, 16 Feb 2026 (ONA) — The total value of real estate
transactions in the Sultanate of Oman recorded a slight decrease of 0.4 percent
by the end of December 2025, reaching RO 3,367.8 million compared to RO 3,379.8
million during the same period in 2024.

Statistics released by the National Centre for Statistics and
Information indicated a rise in the transaction value of sales contracts by 16
percent at the end of December 2025, reaching RO 1,270.3 million across 67,074
sales contracts, accompanied by a decrease in the number of contracts by 1.6 percent.
This compares to RO 1,094.9 million across 68,136 sales contracts during the
corresponding period in 2024.

In contrast, the transaction value of mortgage contracts
witnessed a decline of 8.2 percent, recording RO 2,086.8 million across 22,677
contracts, compared to RO 2,271.9 million across 20,680 contracts during the
same period in 2024.

Furthermore, the transaction value of exchange contracts
decreased by 18.2 percent to reach RO 10,700,000 through 1,216 contracts by the
end of December 2025, compared to RO 13,100,000 traded via 1,325 contracts
during the same period in 2024.

As far as title deeds are concerned, the number of title deeds
decreased by a marginal 0.1 percent at the end of December 2025, reaching
233,172, compared to 233,345 title deeds issued during the comparable period in
2024. The number of title deeds issued to GCC citizens also fell by 13.5
percent, recording 1,252 compared to 1,447 by the end of December 2024.
