Al-Gadarif, 3-2-2026 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohamed Tahir, on Tuesday emphasized the importance of training and capacity building to ensure the sustainability and development of projects, reaffirming her support for Abayo neighbourhood Association by providing all its essential needs.During the inauguration of the first exhibition of the Abayo neighbourhood Production Association in Al-Gadarif, Dr. Nuwara praised the association’s efforts and the promising quality of its products, highlighting the state’s commitment to establishing a dedicated center for the association. She also stressed the importance of design, in line with the government’s push for digitization, which has become an urgent priority, and donated a laptop to one of the association’s designers as a gesture of recognition and encouragement.Al-Gadarif State Wali, Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, urged the association’s staff to develop products in accordance with required specifications and standards and announced that the state government would contribute 10 million Sudanese pounds to purchase raw materials for production.Minister of Social Welfare and Development, Asia Abdul-Rahman Hussein, explained that the exhibition, held under the slogan “Skill in Hand, Protection from Poverty”, is inspired by the concept of Women in Global Professions, aiming to create model communities in Al-Gadarif and lift families out of poverty through development projects, improving production and advancing it to the export stage.BH/BH
