KHARTOUM, June 10, 2026 (SUNA) — Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, on Wednesday met with a delegation from Al-Qureisha locality in Al-Gadarif State. During the meeting, the delegation reaffirmed its support for the Armed Forces in safeguarding the borders in Al-Fashaga area. The Grand Nazir (Paramount Chief) of the Dhabainah tribe in Al-Gadarif State, Awad Al-Karim Mohamed Zayid, said in a press statement that the tribe is a key stakeholder in securing and protecting Al-Fashaga area, pointing to ongoing violations and attacks in the region. He affirmed that the Dhabainah stand firmly in support of the Armed Forces in the “Battle of Dignity,” commending the military’s victories across various operational fronts. The Nazir further noted that Al-Fashaga area requires comprehensive development and service-oriented programmes to enable local communities to achieve stability and security.BH/BH
