Tunis, Jan. 18 (Petra) – Tunisia welcomed the agreement to a ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the necessity of ensuring its continuation and lifting the blockade on the Palestinian people.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it reaffirmed Tunisia’s principled and steadfast position in supporting the struggles of the Palestinian people and their legitimate historical right to establish an independent state on their entire land, with Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement also praised the resilience of the Palestinian people against the occupying forces, calling on the international community to take responsibility for ensuring the continuity of the ceasefire in Gaza and the full lifting of the blockade.
