Amman, Dec. 24 (Petra) – A medical delegation from Acibadem Hospital and University in Istanbul, headed by Dr. Hamdi Karakili, on Wednesday reviewed the experience of Jordan University Hospital in liver transplantation, on the sidelines of the third National Scientific Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation, hosted by the University of Jordan.
According to a statement issued by the hospital, the visit aimed to review the medical services provided by the hospital, particularly in the field of liver transplantation; explore prospects for cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two sides; and examine the possibility of concluding training agreements between them.
Hospital Director General Dr. Nader Bsoul said the hospital welcomes such visits, which reflect its medical and academic standing, noting the hospital’s keenness to strengthen international partnerships that contribute to the development of organ transplant programs and the improvement of the quality of healthcare.
The visit included a field tour of several departments, including the gastrointestinal endoscopy unit, the radiology department and the operating theaters, during which technical and human capabilities were reviewed and ways of future cooperation in training and medical education were discussed.
