Ankara, March 2 (QNA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan affirmed that his country is closely monitoring the course of the conflict in the region, stressing the importance of giving diplomacy a chance to achieve lasting and sustainable peace.
This came during a phone call Erdoğan held with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss regional and global developments, in addition to issues on the NATO agenda.
President Erdoğan also explained that preparations are underway for the NATO leaders’ summit in Ankara next July, emphasizing that Turkiye will host the summit in a manner befitting its stature.
For his part, Rutte stated that NATO will continue to contribute to ensuring the security of its allies through a comprehensive approach. (QNA)
