Ankara, August 03 (QNA) – Turkish Presidency on Monday clamored for more effective global action in accordance with principles to halt the Israeli occupation’s belligerent policies in Gaza, which imperil regional stability.
The recent Israeli attacks on civilians and health infrastructure in the Gaza Strip have been an intentional attempt to impair all ongoing efforts to achieve peace, said the Head of Communications Directorate at the Presidency Burhanettin Duran.
Duran added that these assaults show no regard for the right of innocent civilians to live and obviously uncloak the fact that the Israeli government doesn’t intend to end the conflict but rather aims to deepen the crisis.
Turkiye would stand by international law and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, he stressed, emphasizing that his country would likewise continue backing all efforts to achieve a just and enduring peace.
A statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry said the relentless Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza enclave once again lay bare the fact that the Israeli government isn’t truly willing to uphold peace with the Palestinians.
The statement pointed out that the Israeli government has killed over 30 Palestinians and targeted health facilities in the Strip since a roadmap was reached last Friday that would offer an opportunity to implement the peace plan.
As such, the Ministry called on all nations that support peace in Palestine and the region to act with a spirit of shared responsibility and stand in defense of international law and human values. (QNA)
