Ankara, March 07 (QNA) – Turkiye has introduced Emergency and Defense Planning departments across all government ministries, except the Ministry of National Defense, which remains the primary authority responsible for implementing the policy.
According to Turkish media reports, the new units will oversee and coordinate preparations related to war readiness, disaster response, civil defense and national mobilization.
Heads of the departments have been appointed, with the decisions published in the Official Gazette and signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The departments were established under a decree issued in October 2025 and will also be responsible for ensuring the flow of information to the presidency and coordinating related measures within affiliated institutions. (QNA)
