Two Killed, Five Injured in Ukrainian Attack on Russia’s Rostov Region

Moscow, July 27 (QNA) – Russian authorities announced Monday that two people were killed and five others injured in a in a Ukrainian air attack targeting Russia’s Rostov-on-Don region.

“Two people were killed in Rostov-on-Don in last night’s deadly aerial attack. Five people suffered wounds of varying severity, of them two, including a teenager, are in grave condition”, Governor Yury Slyusar said in a post on X platform.

He added that the injured had received the necessary medical care and that medical teams were doing everything necessary to treat them.

The Russia-Ukraine crisis has witnessed recent escalation, with both sides targeting oil facilities and vital infrastructure in each other’s countries. The two sides also issue near-daily statements and reports on military operations, including claims of downed drones and casualty figures.
