Irbid, Aug. 10 (Petra) — Two students from Al-Zamaliyah Secondary
School for Girls in the Al-Aghwar Al-Shamaliyah (Northern Jordan
Valley) district ranked first and second nationwide in the
agricultural specialization of the vocational and technical track in
this year’s General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi)
examination.
Yara Nawfal Abdul Karim Tuweisat ranked first with an average of
98.8%, while Sara Hassan Mohammad Khair Farhat ranked second with an
average of 98.6%.
Director of the Northern Jordan Valley Education Directorate Basma
Freihat said the achievement reflected the academic and practical
capabilities of vocational and technical education students and their
efforts to excel.
Having two students from the same school take the top two positions
nationwide represented a significant educational achievement, she
said.
Freihat added that the students’ outstanding results were the product
of hard work, perseverance, and dedication, as well as support from
their families and the efforts of educational staff to provide a
stimulating learning environment.
She stressed that students in the Northern Jordan Valley possess the
capabilities needed to compete and achieve top positions nationwide.
Freihat praised the families of the two students, the administrative
and teaching staff at Al-Zamaliyah Secondary School for Girls, and
the district’s education community for their follow-up, support, and
assistance to students.
She said such results reflected the successful integration of efforts
by families, schools, and education authorities.
Vocational and technical education is an important educational
pathway for preparing students and equipping them with the knowledge
and skills needed to continue their education, enter the labor
market, and contribute to national development, she added.
