Two Palestinian Children Die of Starvation in Gaza Gaza, 22 Jul (ONA) — Medical sources in Gaza confirmed this morning the deaths of two children, one from northern Gaza and the other from Khan Yunis in the south as a result of acute malnutrition and starvation.
Hospitals across the Gaza Strip are currently overwhelmed with hundreds of patients of all ages suffering from severe hunger and exhaustion, with many arriving in critical condition. Additionally, medical staff report cases of memory loss and extreme fatigue caused by prolonged starvation, Wafa News Agency reported.
Over 17,000 children are now suffering from acute malnutrition, while hospitals lack sufficient beds, medication, and supplies.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned that malnutrition among children under five has doubled between March and June as a result of the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip.
