New York, Aug. 12 (Petra) — The Nasdaq Composite rose 143 points on
Wednesday to 26,588, gaining 0.54%, but the advance was not enough to
offset losses over the previous two sessions.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 21 points to 53,770, while the
S&P 500 rose about 20 points to 7,748.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was steady at $82.98 a barrel.
