Abu Dhabi, March 11 (QNA) – HH United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed with Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani the escalating military situation in the region and its impact on regional security and stability.
During a phone call, Barzani condemned the attack on the UAE Consulate in Kurdistan, describing it as a violation of international norms and conventions that guarantee the protection of diplomatic missions and personnel, and a serious escalation threatening the safety of diplomatic staff.
The UAE president also held a similar call with Kurdistan Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, discussing regional developments and their implications for international and regional security.
The Kurdistan Region’s prime minister also condemned the attack on the UAE consulate, underlining that it endangers diplomatic personnel and breaches international agreements protecting diplomatic missions. (QNA)
