London, Aug. 6 (Petra) – UK Minister of State for International Development Baroness Jenny Chapman has warned of a worsening famine in Gaza, stating that Israeli-imposed barriers are obstructing urgent humanitarian operations, including those of British charities.
In a post on X, Chapman wrote, “Famine is deepening in Gaza. Humanitarian partners are being prevented from responding,” highlighting that Israel’s visa and registration requirements for aid organizations are undermining efforts to deliver life-saving assistance.
She called on the Israeli government to immediately lift these restrictions and to allow full and safe humanitarian access to those affected within the enclave.
