Kyiv, August 08 (QNA) – The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced that its defense forces targeted the Russian oil refineries of Ilske and Syzran last night.
In a statement, the General Staff explained that the attack targeted the Ilske refinery in the Krasnodar region of southern Russia, where a fire was observed.
It added that the Syzran refinery in the Samara region of southeastern Russia was also targeted, with damage to the facility and a fire observed.
There has been no official Russian comment on these attacks so far.
Ukraine has been launching attacks on Russian oil facilities for months as part of a campaign targeting the Russian energy sector. (QNA)
