UNDP, Central Bank lead effort to expand digital finance

Amman, August 4 (Petra) – The UN Development Programme (UNDP) in
Jordan, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) and
supported by the Better Than Cash Alliance, hosted a dialogue session
on digital financial services to draft practical recommendations for
national inclusion efforts.

The session formed part of a broader project aimed at expanding
financial access and usage for small and medium-sized enterprises
(SMEs) led by women and youth. Attendees examined findings from the
Jordan Valley, outlining the primary digital finance obstacles facing
small business owners.

Discussions centered on strategies to design and pilot more
inclusive, responsive financial products that help women and
youth-led enterprises adopt digital payment solutions sustainably.
