Universal Health Coverage Delegation Discusses Smart Health Applications in Red Sea State

Director General and Acting Minister of Health of Red Sea State Dr. Ahlam Abdel-Rasoul affirmed that developing information systems and advancing digital transformation are priorities for the Ministry, given that data form the foundation for sound planning and decision-making and for directing resources and interventions according to actual needs.She made the remarks on Friday while receiving a visiting delegation from the Federal Ministry of Health’s General Directorate of Primary Health Care, headed by Tamadur Mohamed Saleh of the Universal Health Coverage Program.The delegation held a joint briefing meeting on “Smart Health Applications and Shared Solutions,” supported through the Health Emergency and Infrastructure Project (SHEIP), with support from the World Bank and implementation by UNICEF. The meeting was attended by Director General of Primary Health Care Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Gadir, Director General of Planning Dr. Zafaran Al-Zaki, Director General of Environmental Health Najla Magait, Director of Health Centers Dr. Musa Tahir, Director of Osman Digna Hospital Dr. Mohamed Kamal, and a number of directors of directorates and programs.The head of the delegation reviewed the objectives of the visit and the key areas for delivering integrated, sustainable, high-quality and equitable healthcare services across Sudanese states, in addition to strengthening capacities through continuous training and the implementation of innovative solutions.BH/BH
