Amman, June 21 (Petra) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned on Saturday that the fuel crisis in the Gaza Strip reached extremely alarming levels.
Humanitarian organizations face imminent disruptions in their operations if fuel is not delivered immediately, It said in a post on X, adding that medical services are suffering from a severe shortage, endangering the lives of residents, especially those with chronic diseases, such as diabetes.
The refugee agency called for the blockade on the Gaza Strip to be lifted and essential supplies urgently allowed into the strip for the continuation of humanitarian and medical services.
