Amman, June 18 (Petra) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned Wednesday that the health sector in the Gaza Strip is in a dire condition amid the ongoing Israeli genocide.
In a statement, the refugee agency said 45 percent of basic medical supplies had run out and about a quarter of that quantity will only last for six weeks.
It said stocks of vital medicines and blood units are about to run out, amid the pressing need.
The Israeli occupation army has closed Gaza’s crossings to food, relief, medical aid, and goods since March 2, causing deterioration in the humanitarian situation.
