Amman, Jan. 19 (Petra) – The World Food Programme (WFP) announced a significant expansion of its humanitarian operations in the Gaza Strip, marking 100 days since the ceasefire, with life-saving food assistance now reaching over one million people each month.
The WFP said that despite progress in averting famine, the situation remains highly fragile, stressing that maintaining access through all crossings, ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid and commercial goods, and upholding the ceasefire are critical to preventing Gaza from sliding back into catastrophic hunger.
