Amman, Sept. 8 (Petra) — The Ministers of Youth and Environment, Raed Adwan and Ayman Suleiman, met on Sunday to strengthen collaboration between their ministries in fostering a culture of environmental responsibility among young people.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Environment issued Monday, the meeting highlighted the importance of youth involvement in national campaigns aimed at curbing littering and reducing plastic bag usage. These initiatives align with the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to empower youth and channel their energy toward sustainable development.
The two ministers agreed to implement joint training programs, awareness campaigns, and youth-led environmental activities across youth centers. Upcoming efforts will also include on-the-ground campaigns to instill values of environmental citizenship and promote the conservation of natural resources.
They emphasized that this partnership will position young people as key players in tackling environmental challenges and shaping a more sustainable future for Jordan.
