Cairo, May 20 (QNA) – Zamalek SC were crowned Egyptian Premier League champions for the 15th time in their history after defeating Ceramica Cleopatra 1-0 in the final round of the championship group.
Palestinian forward Oday Dabbagh scored the match’s only goal in the 8th minute.
The result lifted Zamalek to 56 points at the top of the standings, finishing two points ahead of Pyramids FC, who defeated Smouha 2-1. Al Ahly finished third with 53 points after beating Al Masry 2-0, while Ceramica Cleopatra remained fourth on 44 points.
The title is Zamalek’s first since the 2022-2023 season, their third in the last six seasons, and their 15th overall. (QNA)
