Zarqa Chamber of Commerce, Sri Lanka explore investment ties

Zarqa, August 3 (Petra) – The Zarqa Chamber of Commerce met on Monday
with Gajithra Navan, Chargé d’Affaires of the Sri Lankan Embassy in
Jordan, to discuss strategies for boosting trade, investment, and
private sector partnerships.

Chamber President Hussein Shreim called for elevating economic
relations between Jordan and Sri Lanka. He pushed for increased trade
volume, joint investment ventures, organized trade missions, and
regular business forums to unlock new opportunities.

Navan pledged that the Sri Lanka Embassy in Amman is committed to
strengthening ties between business communities in both nations. She
invited the Zarqa Chamber and local merchants to attend an upcoming
trade exhibition in Sri Lanka next year, encouraging Jordanian
investors to explore promising market opportunities.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to sustain close coordination
and launch joint economic initiatives to foster long-term growth.
