Amman, Jan. 30 (Petra)– The Public Security Directorate (PSD) launched the “Ambulance Bike” service in honor of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s birthday through its humanitarian branch Civil Defense in an attempt to save lives and decrease the severity of injuries. This service seeks to guarantee quick response to emergency situations and shorten travel times to accident scenes, especially during periods of heavy traffic.
The ambulance bike is unique in that it can move swiftly through congested areas, and its crew works to provide emergency medical care as soon as they arrive at the scene of an accident until the ambulance arrives. This increases the likelihood of saving lives and preventing health issues.
The bike is staffed by professional male and female paramedics who are prepared to handle a variety of emergency situations, including medical ones like diabetes, high blood pressure, convulsions, fainting, or injuries from burns, asphyxia, electric shocks, poisoning, and accidents.
