Beirut, Feb. 2 (Petra) – Lebanese rescue teams, in coordination with the Lebanese Army, were able to recover the body of one martyr and the remains of two others in the town of Khyam on Sunday. The bodies were transferred to the Marjayoun Governmental Hospital.
Additionally, the remains of five martyrs were recovered in the town of Deir Siryan and transported to the Raghib Harb Hospital. The remains will undergo necessary medical and legal procedures under the supervision of relevant authorities to identify them in accordance with proper protocols.
In a statement issued Sunday evening, the General Directorate of Civil Defense confirmed that it continues its humanitarian and national duties, despite the field challenges, in close cooperation with the Lebanese Army, until all missing persons have been located.
