Jordan Expands Creative Industries Under Economic Modernization Vision 

Amman, Feb. 4 (Petra) — Jordan has made significant strides in developing its creative industries sector as part of the Economic Modernization Vision (2023–2025), according to the 2024 annual report. Key achievements include the establishment of specialized centers for entrepreneurs, gaming, and e-sports, as well as initiatives to support innovation and business development.

The report highlighted the opening of the first dedicated entrepreneurial support center in the central region, a technology hub in Marka, Amman. Additionally, preparations have been completed for two more specialized centers in the northern and southern regions, with site selection finalized and tender documents issued.

As part of efforts to foster entrepreneurship, 48 opportunities and challenges across various sectors have been published on the “StartupsJo” platform. A communication strategy and implementation plan have also been developed to attract at least 400 innovative ideas, with 100 selected for incubation and support through the prototype stage. Furthermore, 50 startups have been identified to receive tailored business development services.

The report also noted the completion of training programs for 150 individuals in startups and training centers. In the gaming and e-sports sector, a specialized center has been established and upgraded in Amman, while efforts are underway to finalize the location for another center in Irbid.
