Amman, Feb. 8 (Petra) – Temperatures on Saturday are tipped to drop below their seasonal average and the weather will be cold and with a weak possibility of light showers of rain in the morning hours in the Kingdom’s southwestern regions.
During night, freezing is expected, especially over the Kingdom’s high mountains and desert areas.
In its report, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) warns of frost over the same areas in the early morning and late night hours and low horizontal visibility, which may sometimes be absent due to fog formation over hilltops and plains.
On Sunday, a slight rise in mercury is forecast and the weather will be cold mostly countrywide and relatively cold in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with a limited chance of light showers in the Kingdom’s northern areas.
Also today, mercury in the capital Amman will hit a high of 8 degrees Celsius and a low of -1?, while the port city of Aqaba will see a charming 19? during the day, sliding to 9? at night.
