Amman, Feb. 12 (Petra) – Prime Minister Jafar Hassan has issued a directive outlining the official working hours for government employees during the upcoming month of Ramadan. Starting from the first day of Ramadan, the new working hours will be from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
The revised schedule will apply across all ministries, government departments, public institutions, universities, municipalities, joint service councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and state-owned enterprises. These hours will remain in effect throughout Ramadan and will revert to regular timings once the month concludes.
The directive also provides an exception for employees whose roles require different working hours due to the nature of their duties. These employees will follow adjusted schedules as coordinated by their department heads.
In his statement, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of upholding the values of Ramadan and being considerate of the needs and sensitivities of those observing the fast.
