Amman, Feb 15 (Petra) – The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs condemned on Saturday the attack on a convoy of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) on the road to Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut, describing it as a blatant violation of international law.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Sufyan Qudah, emphasized the importance of ensuring the security of UN forces and safeguarding their personnel, stressing Jordan’s firm rejection of any attacks on UNIFIL, which plays a vital role in maintaining Lebanon’s security and stability in accordance with relevant UN resolutions.
Qudah reaffirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with the Lebanese government in its efforts to uphold security and stability, wishing a swift recovery to the injured.
