Regarding attempts to distort Jordan’s position on the Palestinian cause, Momani said: “It is unfortunate that some platforms are ready to cast doubt on Jordan’s positions, which have always been clear and consistent on the Palestinian issue.”

He explained that the world is increasingly witnessing misinformation and media distortion, including the use of fake news, even by some major media outlets. Jordan continues to affirm its steadfast positions, including a firm rejection of policies of forced displacement of the Palestinian people and emphasizing support for the reconstruction of Gaza without displacing its residents. This affirmation is part of a comprehensive strategy to defend the truth and promote the true image of Jordan and its pivotal role in the region.

Regarding Jordan’s handling of media outlets that misrepresented His Majesty’s statements during his meeting with the U.S. President, Al-Momani said that as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance transparency and counter disinformation campaigns, Jordan has adopted a multi-faceted strategy to clarify and defend its positions.

He noted that the state has spoken through its leader, His Majesty the King, the Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister, as well as the heads of the Senate and the Lower House of Parliament. Jordan’s positions on the Palestinian cause have historically been clear and unambiguous.

On the domestic front, laws are being enforced to hold accountable local media platforms that deliberately spread misleading information on this matter. On the international front, he acknowledged legal challenges in some countries to hold accountable media platforms operating there that published misleading information regarding Jordan’s stance on the displacement of residents in Gaza. Therefore, Jordan has worked to clarify its rejection of displacement and provide accurate information to international media to refute false claims and promote a correct understanding of Jordan’s position on displacement.

Regarding Jordan’s ongoing efforts to enhance Arab coordination and cooperation on the plan to displace residents in Gaza, Momani affirmed that Jordan is working with its Arab brothers to formulate a unified Arab stance on various regional issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.

He confirmed the alignment of positions between Jordan and its Arab sister states, especially regarding the rejection of forced displacement policies and support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
