
Amman, Feb. 16 (Petra) – Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Ahmed Safadi, on Sunday discussed with the Algerian Ambassador to Jordan, Abdulkarim Behha, bilateral relations, especially in parliamentary areas.
Safadi said Jordanian-Algerian relations are “distinguished,” referring to the continuous coordination between His Majesty King Abdullah II and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Noting the two countries’ shared positions on multinple issues, Safadi called on orchestrating efforts to counter dangers facing the Palestinian cause.
Locally, Safadi stressed that Jordanians back His Majesty King Abdullah in rejecting any solutions at Jordan’s expense and providing all support and efforts to boost Palestinians’ steadfastness on their land and pushing for a solution that guarantees Gaza reconstruction without displacing its people.
Valuing Algerian opposition to displacement of Gaza people, Safadi expressed his aspiration to achieve further cooperation and coordination with the Algerian National People’s Assembly to unify stances to serve common interests.
Meanwhile, the Algerian envoy stressed his country’s rejection of calls to displace Gaza residents, affirming Algeria’s support for Jordan in this context.
The diplomat also stressed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation to achieve mutual interests.
