Amman, Feb 18 (Petra) – President of the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU), Khaled Fanatsah, met with representatives of the Danish-Arab Partnership Project on Tuesday to discuss avenues of cooperation aimed at strengthening their joint efforts in labor-related initiatives, particularly in training and trade union education.
According to a GFJTU statement, the meeting was attended by Nasser Saeed, the project’s coordinator, along with Jan Kohler, head of training at the Danish Trade Union Council for International Development and Cooperation, and Shatha Al Aqayleh, the GFJTU’s project director.
Fanatsah commended the partnership’s contributions to labor training and trade union education, highlighting its role in developing a skilled cadre of unionists capable of promoting labor rights, negotiation skills, and social dialogue. He emphasized the federation’s reform vision, which includes expanding trade union awareness among workers and equipping them with essential skills in collective bargaining, union work fundamentals, and labor rights in line with relevant regulations.
