Cairo, Feb 18 (Petra) – Egyptian Foreign Minister and Minister of Emigration, Badr Abdel-Atty, confirmed that Egypt is working on a comprehensive, multi-phase plan for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza.
This came during a phone call between Abdel-Atty and Swedish Foreign Minister, Maria Malmer Stenegard.
During the call, Abdel-Atty reviewed Egypt’s efforts to solidify the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and implement its three phases, stressing the importance of intensifying humanitarian aid given the deteriorating living conditions.
He also emphasized the need to find a political solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, reaffirming that the two-state solution remains the only path to achieving peace in the region.
