Amman, February 19 (Petra) — Jordan and Kazakhstan signed several memoranda of understanding on different scopes during the official visit of Kazakhstan’s President, Qassym-Jomart Tokayev to Jordan following an invitation from His Majesty King Abdullah II.

The agreements comprise an executive programme for cultural cooperation between the Jordanian Ministry of Culture and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Information for 2025-2027.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Jordanian Ministry of Environment and the Kazakh Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to enhance cooperation in environmental protection.

Another agreement covers administrative and technical cooperation between the Jordanian Free Zones Group, Development Zones, and the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Construction.

Further agreements include a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and its Kazakh counterpart, focused on recognising veterinary certificates for importing animal products from Kazakhstan to Jordan.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between Jordan’s Al-Mamlaka Channel, and the Kazakh Television and Radio Complex.

The executive programme and agreements were signed by Jordan’s Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Muhannad Shehadeh, and Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy, Serik Jumangarin.

The signing ceremony saw the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Jordan Talat Shaldunbay, Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov and Director General of the Kazakh Presidential Television and Radio Complex Raushan Kazhibayeva.
