Amman, Feb 19 (Petra) – Minister of Public Works and Housing, Maher Abul Samen, underscored the significance of the Economic Modernization Vision (EMV) in adding value to the roads, housing, and urban infrastructure sectors, thereby positively impacting economic activity and improving the quality of life for Jordanians and residents across the Kingdom.
During a meeting at the ministry on Wednesday to review the updated EMV executive program, Abul Samen stated that the government is committed to developing infrastructure and improving service quality by adopting structural reforms that enhance Jordan’s economic competitiveness and promote major strategic projects.
He highlighted that the EMV is one of the key pillars of the comprehensive modernization trajectory endorsed by His Majesty King Abdullah II, aimed at unleashing national potential to achieve inclusive growth, create job opportunities across all sectors, and provide the highest quality of services to citizens and residents.
Rafat Dasan, director of the government performance and achievement follow-up unit at the Prime Ministry, and Amjad Attar, Head of the Urban Development Pillar in the same unit, emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the government’s performance and achievement follow-up unit and the achievement follow-up unit at the Ministry of Public Works to ensure the successful implementation of the executive program for the current year.
Dasan noted that the unit’s role extends beyond follow-up project implementation within the executive program to also include overcoming challenges and obstacles that may hinder progress.
The meeting also discussed the preparatory stages for the upcoming executive program, ensuring that targets and indicators are met within the specified timelines.
