Saudi Media Forum 2025 kicks off in Riyadh with Jordanian participation

Riyadh, Feb 19 (Petra) – The fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum 2025 commenced Wednesday in Riyadh under the theme “Media in an Evolving World.” The event, running until February 21, gathers media professionals, organizations, and technology leaders to explore the evolving media landscape.

Jordan is participating with a delegation that includes the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Government Communication, Zaid Nawaiseh, Director-General of the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Fayrouz Mubaidin, and Director of Media Policies and External Media at the Ministry of Government Communication, Majd Al-Amad.
In his opening remarks, Saudi Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari emphasized the growing interaction between humanity and smart knowledge technologies, highlighting the creative challenges posed by this dynamic shift.

“The foundation of this transformation lies in human potential. When individuals delve deeper into their capabilities, they realize that creativity is the key to shaping and leading the future,” Al-Dosari stated.

He further noted that media today is intrinsically linked to the future, shaped by predictive algorithms, robotic journalism, and artificial intelligence.

On the sidelines of the forum, Petra’s Director-General, Fayrouz Mubaidin, met with the President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Ali Alzaid, and the Director-General of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), Mohammed bin Abdul Rabbo Al-Yami, to discuss avenues for strengthening media cooperation.

The forum brings together over 250 leading media and technology organizations from around the world, positioning itself as a key platform for exploring emerging trends, new media opportunities, and the tools of soft power in a rapidly changing industry.
