Amman, Feb 22 (Petra) — Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan on Saturday checked on the Ministry of Public Works and Housing’s preparedness to deal with emergencies during the polar front affecting the Kingdom.
He called at the operations room, where he was joined by Minister of Public Works and Housing Ahmad Abul Samen, urging high readiness to respond to weather-related incidents in coordination with concerned bodies.
He urged various government agencies to respond quickly when help is needed and address the public’s complaints according to priority, while ensuring service and citizens’ safety.
The Prime Minister was briefed on the flow of work in the main and the other operations rooms across the Kingdom, and the machinery and rescue systems used by the ministry to respond promptly to calls from citizens, particularly those living near valleys or low-lying areas where downpours could trigger flash floods.
