2 journalists killed in Gaza, raising total number to 231

Gaza Strip, July 23 (Petra) — The number of journalists killed in Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip rose to 231 after photojournalist Tamer Zaanin and editor Walaa Jabari, who worked for media outlets, were killed on Wednesday, according to the Government Media Office in Gaza.

In a statement, the Media Office condemned the “systematic targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists” by Israeli occupation forces, calling on the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists, and all media bodies worldwide to condemn such crimes against Palestinian journalists and media professionals in Gaza.

It also urged the the world community, international organizations, and all media bodies across the world to denounce and help stop the crimes, and bring perpetrators to justice.
