Youth Tennis Team Intensifies Preparations for External Competitions
Cairo,
16 Jul 2026 (ONA) — The Omani national youth tennis team wrapped up its
external training camp in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, at Smash Academy, as
part of the association’s plan to support national team players, focusing
during this camp on players of the under-14, under-10, and under-16 national
teams.
The
total number of players participating in this training camp reached 13 male and
female players. For the second consecutive year, the camp achieved its desired
goals in honing national team players in preparation for upcoming external
competitions.
Ahmed
Al Balushi, head of the delegation, stated that the camp was successful and
achieved its technical goals by developing players’ performance levels, in
addition to mental and nutrition lectures. He added that the players played
friendly matches with players from the academy and other academies, deriving
great benefit from intensive training sessions conducted under the supervision
of specialized coaches, expressing hope that this program will contribute to
achieving good results for national team players in upcoming external
competitions and earning them more international ranking points.
