Amman, July 23 (Petra) – Interior Minister Mazen Faraya visited Karak on Wednesday and met with Governor Qablan Sharif and the heads of the Karak Greater Municipality, the Provincial Council committees, administrative governors and security officials.

During the visit, Faraya discussed the provincial council’s budget and project priorities with the attendees, urging reviewing the projects to ensure they directly serve the public interest and meet the needs of people.

He directed officials to accelerate project implementation and ensure the disbursement of allocated funds before the end of the current fiscal year.

The Minister was briefed on Karak Municipality’s plans for the upcoming phase, highlighting the need for the plans to align with the directives of the government and the indicators set within the provincial council’s budget.

In a related context, Faraya instructed administrative governors and security agencies to fully cooperate and provide direct support to the heads of municipal committees and the provincial council.

He called for coordination among all stakeholders in Karak to serve the public effectively and achieve a qualitative improvement in the performance of municipalities and the provincial council.

He reiterated the government’s confidence in the capacity of various departments and institutions to carry out their responsibilities in service of citizens.

The Minister visited the Wadi Ibn Hammad Road Project and the Wadi Tourist Camp Project, both of which are being implemented by the Dar Al Karak Heritage and Tourism Association, highlighting ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure and tourism in the region.
