Colombo, July 24 (Petra)– During a ceremony at the Presidential Office in Colombo, on Thursday, Ambassador Yousef Abdulghani presented the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, his credentials as the Kingdom’s non-resident Ambassador to the country.
Ambassador Abdulghani greeted President Dissanayake on behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II and wished the friendly Sri Lankan people continued progress and prosperity.
In turn, President Dissanayake requested that His Majesty King Abdullah II receive his greetings and gratitude. He commended the distinguished ties between the two friendly nations as well as His Majesty’s prudent measures. He wished the Kingdom and the Jordanian people ongoing success and prosperity and stated his nation’s interest in deepening and expanding bilateral ties with Jordan.
