Ministry, International Dates Council Explore Areas of Cooperation

4 Feb 2026 (ONA) — Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture,
Fisheries and Water Resources, met today with Princess Sarah Bandar Al Saud,
Executive Director of the International Dates Council, and her accompanying
delegation currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.
The
meeting explored various areas of cooperation with the International Dates Council,
proceeding from the strategic importance of the dates sector and its role in
bolstering food security and economic development.
During
the session, the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with
the Council was reaffirmed, emphasizing the importance of leveraging the
Council’s expertise to support the growth of this vital sector in a manner that
achieves mutual objectives and enhances economic sustainability.
